Five new members will be elected to the seven-member Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China.
China's Communist Party has endorsed a second five-year term for President Xi Jinping at the end of its week-long conference held every five years.
Five new members will be elected to the seven-member Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China(CPC).
The new Standing Committee members would be announced tomorrow.
The Communist Party also added President Xi Jinping's name to its constitution confirming his status as China'smost powerful leader.
Xi presided over the closing session of the party's congress as 2,300 delegates unanimously approved the constitutional amendment, putting his name alongside Mao and Deng Xiaoping.
President Xi Jinping, 64, and Li Keqiang, 62, would continue to head the government. The duo had come to power in 2012 and are now set to continue till 2022.
