British government reports 315 more coronavirus deaths

Coronavirus in London, UK

Britain's death toll in the coronavirus outbreak rose to 28,446 on Sunday, after the government reported 315 more fatalities in hospitals, care homes and the wider community.

The figure is just below Europe's worst-hit country, Italy. A total of 186,599 people have tested positive, up 4,339 on Saturday's figures. But ministers say the country is past the peak.

Meanwhile, the government is expected to unveil plans to ease the lockdown in the country. The UK government will be revealing the plan this week.

This is after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that the country, which was one of the worst-hit by coronavirus, is past the peak of the outbreak.

This plan is supposed to give a roadmapfor easing the strict rules that were imposed in the country after a huge outbreak of coronavirus two months ago.
