Brigham and Women's hospital in Boston introduces a new age robot to fight the coronavirus pandemic. The robot is named 'Spot'. Spot is a four-legged robot and has a stature similar to that of dogs.

This robot is created by Boston Dynamics, this robotics company is known for its designs that mirror life-like movements that resemble people and animals.

Robots have been introduced as the new line of defence. They are used to minimize the spread of coronavirus pandemic. Robots have performed actions such as taking food preparation jobs, performing medical intake exam and disinfecting cities.

Countries like Spain and India are using drones to maintain their country-wide clock down. Italy is sending out its drones to monitor the temperature of its civilians.

Spot is still in its prototype stage.

The Spot has many features that will help health workers stay safe from the virus, it can carry food and medical supplies for those who are isolated due to the coronavirus. With a UV-C light attached to it, Spot could be used to disinfect various public spaces even the hospitals.

Spot has an Ipad attached to it that is connected with the doctor who can talk to patients and evaluate its symptoms.

Spot could have thermal cameras that could check for fever.
