'Big Little Lies' comes back with another season of entertainment on HBO which was a big hit in season one.

The second season of the HBO drama "Big Little Lies" is coming back.

The series will be back with the original four main characters and the addition of two more characters to the new season.

The first season was a breakout hit for HBO, with network getting 16 Emmy nominations and winning in eight categories including a Supporting Actress award for Laura Dern and Best-Limited Series.

HBO also confirmed that four key characters from the show’s first season would return: Kathryn Newton as Madeline’s (Reese Witherspoon) daughter Abigail Sarah Sokolovic as Tori Bachman Robin Weigert as Celeste’s (Nicole Kidman) therapist Dr. Amanda Reisman and Merrin Dungey as Adrienne Quinlan, the detective investigating the Perry’s (Alexander Skarsgard) death.

No details about the new roles were revealed beyond the character names.

The network announced in December that “Big Little Lies” would return for a second season. Season 1 was based on the novel of the same name by Liane Moriarty, while Season 2 is based on a new story by the authorDavid E. Kelley. Andrea Arnold will direct all seven episodes. Moriarty will serve as producer.

“Big Little Lies” was premiered on HBO in early 2017.The season won't arrive until 2019.
