17 people killed and 28 wounded in suicide attack in Baghdad

The incident took place in the Nahrawan area, around the shopping district, southeast of Baghdad where one attacker blew himself up and the other one was killed by the security force. Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack.
Two suicide attackers killed at least 17 people and left as many as 28 injuredin Baghdad on Monday, reports said.

According to media reports, the Islamic group took responsibility of the attack through The Sunni Muslim militant group’s Amaq new agency, claiming that it took lives od 35 people of the Iran-backed paramilitaries, Popular Mobilisation Units.
Iraqi security officials have said that Islamic State might wage an insurgency after its self-proclaimed caliphate collapsed and its militants were dislodged from territories they held across a swathe of Iraq and Syria.
