As tensions between the United States and Iran rise amid unrest in Tehran, President Donald Trump is reportedly leaning toward military action if Tehran’s government continues violent repression and defies US pressure. At the same time, Vice President JD Vance and other senior officials are urging Trump to pursue diplomatic talks before authorising any military strikes, with Washington also considering Iran’s offer for negotiations on its nuclear programme.
