Eid-ul-Fitr 2024: The moon sighting ritual holds deep significance in Islamic tradition, marking the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan. Families and communities come together to break their fast, offer prayers, and partake in joyous festivities that symbolise unity and gratitude.
The timing of Eid celebrations hinges on sighting the Shawwal crescent moon. Saudi Arabia, UAE and Qatar have announced that Eid will be on April 10. However, the crescent moon wasn't seen in Delhi, Hyderabad, and Lucknow so Eid festivities are expected to be set for April 11 in these cities.
