Union Home Minister Amit Shah&nbsp;presided&nbsp;over a high-level meeting in North Block on Sunday (June 16), two days after he examined the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Attendees included National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha, Army Chief General Manoj Pande, and Army Chief-designate Lt. General Upendra Dwivedi.

The home minister ordered security services to duplicate the effective "area domination plan" and "zero terror plan," which had been previously executed in the Kashmir Valley, in the Jammu division during the six-hour long meeting.

Shah stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government is determined to setting an example by combating terrorism through innovative measures. Shah gave orders to all security services to operate in mission mode and guarantee prompt, well-coordinated responses.

Along with stressing upon the necessity of strong security for the pilgrimage, the Home Minister also called on authorities to guarantee the security of all routes and important sites.

The Home Minister in a statement released by the ministry of home affairs said,&nbsp;"the fight against terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir is in its decisive phase."

The meeting comes after a wave of terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, including a terrorist attack on a bus taking&nbsp;pilgrims to the Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra. Nine people were killed and several&nbsp;injured in the incident.

The Home Minister was given a comprehensive briefing by the representatives present at the high-level meeting about the state of security in Jammu and Kashmir, the deployment of military forces along the International Border, and the number of terrorists active in the Union Territory.

Ajay Bhalla, Union Home Secretary, Tapan Deka, Director of Intelligence Bureau, Anish Dayal Singh, Director General of CRPF, R R Swain, Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police, and other high-ranking security officials&nbsp;also attended the meeting.

The Yatra is scheduled to start on June 29 and run until August 19. Baltal and Pahalgam are the two routes pilgrims to Amarnath use via Jammu and Kashmir. This year, the officials anticipate that there may be up to five lakh pilgrims.

An insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh would be provided to all pilgrims, along with RFID tags that allow them to track their exact whereabouts in real-time. A Rs 50,000 insurance policy will also be provided for each animal used to transport pilgrims.&nbsp;
