He also assured that the construction work will be carried out at a faster pace.

"We have already allocated Rs 101 crore to the district officials for carrying out relief work. We will not let work get hampered because of paucity of funds," he said.

"I have also instructed the officials to carry out construction work of roads, bridges and schools which got damaged due to the natural disaster," he added.

So far, as many as 1124 rain-related incidents have taken place in Uttarakhand in which 70 people have lost their lives and 73 sustained injuries.

Around 235 buildings, 25 drinking water resources have also been damaged due to relentless rain in the state in the past few weeks.

It is estimated that floods have caused a loss of Rs 300 crore in the past one month in the state.&nbsp;

"Rs 15 lakh will be given to the families of each victim," Rawat told media.

"The news of the accident of a helicopter carrying relief material to the disaster-affected areas of Uttarkashi is very sad. I pray to God for granting peace to departed souls", Rawat said on Twitter.

The helicopter was carrying relief material from Mori Tehsil to flood-affected Moldi area in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, when it crashed killing all three people on-board.

"All the three persons, who were on-board the helicopter, have died in the crash. A team of 10 members has been sent to the site of the crash," a State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) PRO said.

The reason behind the crash could not be ascertained so far.&nbsp;

"There should be a separate ministry for the Himalayan states. The NITI Aayog and the Finance Commission have assured us the necessary financial support for the Himalayan states," Rawat said while addressing a press conference after the Himalaya States Conclave drew to a close here.

"For environmental services to the nation, the Himalayan states should be given a green bonus. The Himalaya states are the origin of most of the fresh water resources of the country," he added.

Earlier, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and other state leaders on Sunday arrived for the 'Conclave of the Himalayan States'.

Besides Sitharaman, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur and Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio attended the conclave.

Along with various government officials, over 11 Indian Himalayan Region (IHR) state leaders participated in the conclave to discuss and deliberate upon the issues in the Himalayan region.

The state leaders met Finance Commission Chairman N K Singh, NITI Aayog Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Rajiv Kumar and Amitabh Kant, respectively to discuss the sustainable development of the Himalayan region.

The conclave hosted the Chief Ministers of the Himalayan states including - Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura, Mizoram and Nagaland, along with administrators and specialists.

IHR is endowed with rich vegetation and is home to almost 36% of India`s total biodiversity. More than 41.5% area of IHR states is under forests, representing one-third of total forest cover of India.&nbsp;
