"It says a lot about the nature of humanity at a time when we are facing difficult issues, that someone who is not a citizen of this country stood bravely at the top of those escalators and stopped this perpetrator from getting onto another floor and potentially inflicting further carnage on citizens," he added. He stabbed six people including 5 female shoppers and one Pakistani security guard. Twelve others were injured in the attack, including a nine-month-old whose mother was killed. An Australian police woman shot the culprit at the scene. It is suspected that the attacker might have specifically targeted women. Who is the bollard man? The video shows Guerot wielding a plastic pole to ward the attacker off on an escalator.
