<p>Two Indian Army personnel, Major Kamlesh Pandey and Sepoy Tanzin Chhultim were&nbsp;killed in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in South Kashmir&#39;s Shopian district today morning.</p>

<p>Their last rites took place this afternoon. Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti, deputy&nbsp;chief minister NK Singh was also present.</p>

<p>The Army patrol party was attacked by terrorists when they were conducting a cordon and search operation in Shopian&#39;s Zaipora&nbsp;area.</p>

<p>Three Army personnel were injured in the attack. They were rushed to the Army&#39;s 92 base hospital where Major Kamlesh Pandey and Sepoy Tanzin Chhultim lost their lives, PTI reported.</p>

<p>Earlier, in another encounter in Kulgam, two terrorists were killed by the security forces.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The encounter in Shopian&nbsp;comes days after the<a href="http://www.wionews.com/south-asia/let-kashmir-chief-abu-dujana-killed-in-gunbattle-18446"> security forces eliminated Lashkar&#39;s top commander in Kashmir Abu Dujana.</a></p>

<p>The Himachal Pradesh government has announced Rs 20 lakh as compensation for Tanzin Chhultim&#39;s family.</p>
