<p>A 61-year-old man from California, US is in headlines for his belief that the Earth is flat like a frisbee. Mike Hughes launched himself into the sky in a self-made steam-powered rocket on Saturday afternoon.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to reports, Hughes went as high as 1,875 feet in a rocket that has 'FLAT EARTH' painted on it.</p>

<p>The rocket was launched around 3 pm Pacific time on Saturday and reached its maximum speed at around 350 miles per hour.</p>

<p>The rocket launch was supposed to happen in November last year but was postponed owing to delay in acquiring necessary permits.</p>
