<p>Salman Khan&#39;s latest release seems to be in a whirlwind of news--this time for it&#39;s losses.</p>

<p>His last movie Tubelight was pegged to be a huge hit by all trade pundits but flopped majorly at the box-office, with distributors incurring huge losses. Soon after there were reports that Salman Khan will be paying off his distributors for the losses.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Trade analyst Komal Nahta confirmed on Twitter that the &#39;Bajrangi Bhaijaan&#39; star will refund approx Rs 35 crore today to distributors and exhibitors as compensation for losses suffered in &#39;Tubelight&#39;. But this is actually just half of the actual losses suffered by the distributors.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The movie was an Eid release for Salman Khan and had opened to a decent&nbsp;Rs. 21.15 crore but it managed to&nbsp;gross only Rs. 64.77 crores in its first weekend. In fact, in the first ten days of its release, the movie could rake up a little over Rs. 100 crore (which is quite low keeping his previous releases in mind). Salman&#39;s last two Eid releases, Sultan in 2016 and Bajrangi Bhaijaan in 2015 had crossed Rs. 300 crore at the box office in much lesser time.&nbsp;</p>

<p>But will Salman actually pay that huge sum, is still the big&nbsp;question.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Tubelight&nbsp;is a 2017 Indian Hindi period war drama film written and directed by Kabir Khan. The film is produced by Salman Khan and Kabir Khan. The movie is set in the background of 1962 Sino-Indian War and stars&nbsp;Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, Zhu Zhu, Matin Rey Tangu and Om Puri.&nbsp;Shah Rukh Khan appears in a cameo in the film.</p>
