The Punjab and Haryana High Court granted anticipatory bail Tuesday to the Pinto family, owners of Ryan International School.

Augustine, Grace, and Ryan Pinto had been arrested in connection with the murder on September 8 of class II student Pradyuman Thakur who was studying at their&nbsp;Bhondsi, Gurgaon school.

The Pintos were already out on bail.&nbsp;

The CBI however had opposed their bail, demanding that it be given custody of them.&nbsp;

Ryan International murder: Pintos get anticipatory bail

The Central Bureau of Investigation, <a href="http://www.wionews.com/india-news/ryan-case-cbi-detains-class-11-student-on-suspicion-of-killing-pradyuman-23709">which detained a Class XI student in connection with the killing of a Class II student in Gurgaon&#39;s Ryan International School</a>, said he allegedly committed the crime as he wanted to get a parent teacher meeting and an examination postponed.

The investigating agency said it reached the conclusion on the basis of &quot;CCTV footage, forensic and scientific evidence.&quot;

&quot;We have come to the conclusion on the basis of CCTV, forensic evidence and scientific evidence. The student has been apprehended. He remains our prime suspect,&quot; the spokesperson said.

The juvenile student, about 16 years old was apprehended late last night. The weapon used in the crime has been seized, PTI reported.

The CBI said the student used the knife to murder seven-year-old Pradyuman following which he flushed it in the toilet, Zee News reported.

The CBI said it would demand custody of the juvenile student, an accused in the case from the juvenile justice board.

Pradyuman was found dead with his throat slit by a sharp-edged weapon on the morning of September 8. CCTV footage of the incident showed him crawling out of the school&#39;s washroom, his throat slit. He collapsed next to a wall in a pool of blood. The Gurgaon Police had arrested school bus conductor, Ashok Kumar, the same day.

The investigating agency has clarified that no clean chit has been given to the accused, bus conductor Ashok Kumar, who is in police custody.

The CBI has also ruled out sexual assault in the murder.

The Class XI student&#39;s parents were kept in the loop all through, the agency said.

The detained student&#39;s father, who was questioned by the CBI for a day, told the investigating agency that his son is being framed under false charges. He added that his son was the first to spot Pradyuman on the day of the murder.

&quot;They (CBI) arrested my son last night. My son has not committed the crime, he informed gardener and teachers,&quot; his father told ANI.

The student will be produced before the juvenile justice board in the evening, CBI sources said earlier, adding that the agency will leave it up to the board to decide whether the accused should face trial as a minor or not since he is above 16 years of age.

Haryana Director General of Police BS Sandhu said that the CBI had arrested a boy in the Pradyuman murder case and was questioning him.

He said the case was being handled by the CBI which was conducting the investigation in its own way.

He said the progress of the case would depend on what was presented by the CBI.&nbsp;

The Directorate of School Education and the Haryana government have constituted a committee to frame guidelines for safety of students and teachers at schools.

The committee constituted shall propose guidelines as expeditiously as possible but not beyond two days.

The bus conductor of the school, who is the main accused in the case, was today sent to judicial custody, ANI reported earlier. He will be produced before a special court in Gurugram on September 18.

A top police official told ANI that during questioning, two children disclosed that the accused was present in the toilet before the incident.

He said that it was clear that only the conductor, Ashok Kumar was involved and no other person, adding that the&nbsp;act of negligence by the school&nbsp;was a&nbsp;separate issue for which &quot;two people are being questioned.&quot;

&quot;Questioning with the bus-conductor is complete, remand has ended. He told us whatever we needed to know.We are satisfied,&quot; said Assistant Commissioner of Police Birem Singh.

Ashok Kumar&nbsp;was arrested on Friday after the body of the student was found inside the toilet of the high-profile school with his throat slit.

The school&#39;s principal <a href="http://www.wionews.com/india-news/ryan-international-student-murder-principal-suspended-cbse-gives-two-day-deadline-20025">was suspended on Saturday (September 9) amid protests</a> by agitated parents.

Earlier in the day, the Bombay High Court granted interim protection from arrest to the Ryan International Group Chairman and Managing Director Augustine Pinto till tomorrow over the murder of the student, Pradyuman, within the school premises.

Augustine Pinto and his wife Grace, who is also the managing director of the institution had moved the Bombay High Court for anticipatory bail today. A special investigation team has reached Mumbai to question Augustine Pinto and director Albert Pinto.

The father of the 7-year-old, however, approached the Supreme Court seeking a CBI probe, which prompted the top court to seek responses from the Centre and Haryana.

The police claimed that evidence from the scene of the crime had been tampered with and said they would bring the guilty to book.

The parents&#39; association had opposed the anticipatory bail application.&nbsp;

The lawyer representing the state of Maharashtra had asked for time till tomorrow to produce a Supreme Court order for reference, the advocate representing the parents&#39; association said.

The matter has been adjourned until tomorrow. &nbsp;

The bail pleas were filed after the arrest of two top officials of the school. The acting principal was also detained for questioning.
