Hannah Gutierrez, the armourer on the sets of Rust, has been sentenced to 18 months in prison on charges of involuntary manslaughter in the 2021 shooting case that led to Halyna Hutchins' death.&nbsp; 
 
Though Alec Baldwin pulled the trigger, a jury said Gutierrez-Reed had erroneously loaded a live round into a revolver he was using on the Santa Fe, New Mexico, movie set.&nbsp; 
 
Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer addressed phone calls Gutierrez-Reed made from jail, citing comments she made to family and friends as evidence she had failed to take accountability. 
 
"In your allocation, you said you were sorry but not … sorry for what you did," Marlowe Sommer said. "It was your attorney that had to tell the court that you were remorseful. 
 
"The word remorse: a deep regret coming from a sense of guilt for past wrongs," she continued. "That's not you."

 
Gutierrez-Reed has been in custody since the Santa Fe jury found her guilty on March 6, following a multi-week trial.&nbsp; 
 
Gutierrez-Reed faced up to 18 months in prison and a $5,000 fine for her role in the accidental shooting death of Hutchins who was the cinematographer on set of the low-budget Western, in October 2021.&nbsp; 
 
Gutierrez-Reed's lawyer Jason Bowles requested she be given probation as she had no previous criminal record.

On Monday, Gutierrez-Reed made a statement before the court, saying her "heart aches" for Hutchins' family, friends and the film industry at large. She requested the judge sentence her to probation, noting she would accept any classes she ordered. 
 
"I am saddened by the way the media sensationalized our traumatic tragedy and portrayed me as a complete monster, which has actually been the total opposite of what's in my heart," she said. 
 
Post verdict, her legal team now plans to appeal her prison sentence 'on multiple grounds'.&nbsp;

Attorney Gloria Allred, who is representing Hutchins' parents and sister, said in a statement that Gutierrez-Reed's sentence is "appropriate" given the armourer's "failure to express any remorse herself at the hearing" and "her attitude in many jailhouse calls." 
 
"The family just wanted justice for Halyna, and today the court handed down the maximum sentence possible under New Mexico law," Allred said. "We now look forward to the trial of Alec Baldwin where a diﬀerent jury will decide if Alec Baldwin is or is not guilty of involuntary manslaughter. We look forward to a just result in the next criminal case."

 
The Hutchins family's attorney Gloria Allred shared statements and videos from the family, from Kyiv, Ukraine. 
 
"Time does not heal. ... It gets worse and worse," Olga Solovey, Hutchins' mother, said in Ukrainian, adding that none of the people involved in Hutchins' death have expressed their sympathy to her. 
 
"Halyna was the best daughter on this earth," said Solovey in a separate statement. "After this tragedy, my life has been split into two — before and after. ... I have hope that the guilty, those that are responsible for the death of my daughter, will be punished fairly and sentenced justly."

Alec Baldwin allegedly felt 'no recoil' when he accidentally fired a .45-caliber Old West revolver which inadvertently took the life of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the sets of 'Rust'.&nbsp;

A bodycam video of Baldwin speaking to Santa Fe investigators about the fatal incident has now been made public where Baldwin recounts the moments that lead to the firing.&nbsp; 
 
"When I shot the gun, away from the cameraman, I never aim the gun at the camera, I turned and I went like this," Baldwin can be heard telling investigators in the video, making a gun with his fingers and panning his arm across a cluttered table in an interview room at the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office. "And she was there. And the gun went off. And she just went right on the ground." 
 
Investigators are now looking into the on-set shooting and released a trove of files on Monday in connection with the incident that left the cinematographer dead and director Joel Souza injured.&nbsp; 
 
The video reportedly shows Baldwin asking about Hutchin's condition moments later.&nbsp; 
 
The files include interviews with key witnesses at the scene and later in the sheriff’s office, including Baldwin, first assistant director David Halls, armourer Hanna Gutierrez Reed, prop master Sarah Zachry as well as incident reports, crime scene photos and other evidence. 
 
Baldwin said "Hannah handed me the gun," referencing the armourer and contradicting contemporaneous police reports that stated Halls had handed Baldwin the gun and told him it was "cold" or safe, before the incident.

Halls separately told investigators about industry-standard safety checks and gun handling guidelines.&nbsp; 
 
"This movie is done," he told deputies. "It’s too scared. The director of photography was killed. The director was injured. Alec Baldwin was involved." 
 
Souza, meanwhile, told the police that the armourer handed Baldwin the gun and described the incident from his perspective during a round of questioning while he was still recovering in the hospital. The director later said he could not recall because he was 'zonked out' on medication. 
 
"A very loud bang, and it felt like somebody kicked me in the shoulder," he said from his hospital bed. "And then I was down on my a--, and then I look over and see the cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins, with blood coming out of her back…I think it went through her and into me." 
 
Another video shows first responders tending to Hutchins and Souza on the church floor minutes after the incident. She appears conscious for much of the encounter. A rattled Baldwin asks for a cigarette and about the conditions of Hutchins and Souza.&nbsp;
