Rupali Meshram from Maharashtra had a near-death experience when she fought with a tiger who saved her goat last week.&nbsp;

Rupali, 23, ran out of her house when she heard her goat scream out of terror as the tiger attacked it. She then picked up a stick and hit the tiger and was then counter-attacked, leaving her with multiple injuries.&nbsp;

If it hadn't been for her mother, who pulled her inside, the situation could have been much worse. The mother also sustained some minor injuries, reports said.&nbsp;

Rupali had injuries on her head, &nbsp;waist, legs, and hands, but they were only superficial and she has been able to make a full recovery.

A doctor who treated her praised her "exemplary courage" in fighting off the tiger but said she was lucky not to have been bitten by the animal.
