<p>The final news from the hackers came on Thursday morning when they said that they had posted the last of the data online and chose this day as it coincides&nbsp;with International Computer Security Day.&nbsp;<br />

<p>The first batches of stolen data were uploaded on a dark web forum on 9th&nbsp;November, in curated posts highlighting the medical records about drug addiction, pregnancy terminations, and sexually transmitted infections.</p>

<p>In a statement after the data dump, Medibank said on Thursday, "While our investigation continues, there are currently no signs that financial or banking data has been taken."&nbsp;</p>

<p>In November, Australian Federal Police Commissioner Reece Kershaw stated that the hackers were a group of "loosely affiliated cyber criminals" based in Russia. Cybersecurity experts believe they are linked to the Russian hacker group REvil.</p>

<p>The hackers have been dubbed "scumbags," "scummy criminals," and "rolled gold mongrels" by Australian government ministers.</p>

<p>Relatives of scores of schoolchildren kidnapped by gunmen from an Islamic seminary over the weekend have appealed to the government to help free them, after the latest mass abduction to target a Nigerian school.</p>

<p>Some 200 children were at the school in Tegina, central Niger state, when it was raided on Sunday, the local government said, without confirming the exact number abducted.</p>

<p>Niger state police said attackers had arrived on motorbikes and started shooting indiscriminately, killing one resident and injuring another, before snatching the children from the Salihu Tanko Islamic school.</p>

<p>"My appeal to the government is that they should try to protect our people first and our children first," Sa'idu Umar, whose child was among those abducted, told AFP on Tuesday.</p>

<p>"We are hoping that they are going to try harder to bring back our children successfully."</p>
