Set between irrigated farmland and rocky desert, Southwest of Cairo, the Qarun lake used to be pristine. Once home to Tilapia brim and shrimp, the lake had much to offer but now with population eroding the fish stock, the livelihoods of the Egyptian fishermen are threatened.
