Four people, including a relative of a BJP MLA, have been arrested for allegedly extorting money from truckers in the Naraini police station area here.

&quot;Four people were arrested near the Kartal road barrier for extorting money from sand truckers yesterday,&quot; Superintendent of Police Shalini said today.

One of them, Srivishal, is believed to be a cousin of Naraini MLA Rajkaran Kabir, the SP said.

When contacted, the MLA alleged that the SP had been targeting people close to him and had recently got a fake case filed against his representative Nand Kishore Brahmchari.

&quot;Now, she has arrested my cousin,&quot; he said.

&quot;I will meet Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and tell him the truth,&quot; Kabir said.

The SP said rules were followed and a few BJP leaders who had come to meet her in this regard were apprised of the situation.&nbsp;
