Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked Border Security Force to withdraw an order against a BSF jawan who was given a penalty of seven days&rsquo; pay for showing disrespect towards Mr Modi.

BSF constable Sanjeev Kumar who forgot to affix &#39;honourable&#39; or &#39;Shri&#39; while referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi was penalised by the force, which called the mistake &quot;disrespect&quot; to the Prime Minister.

The incident took place on February 21 inside the BSF&#39;s 15th Battalion headquarters in Mahatpur, Nadia (West Bengal), during the zero parade, a routine exercise to account for jawans&#39; daily activities.&nbsp;

&ldquo;The Prime Minister has expressed his displeasure and directed the force to immediately withdraw the punishment. The order has been rescinded and the concerned Commandant has been cautioned for not dealing with the matter judiciously,&rdquo; said a BSF spokesperson.
