'Green Book' director Peter Farrelly, on Wednesday, apologised after a website found a 20-year-old story where his colleagues said Farrelly liked to flash his genitals as a joke.

In an excerpt published by The Cut, it is mentioned that Farrelly, his brother, and fellow filmmaker Bobby Farrelly liked to pull pranks to get people to look at Farrelly`s penis.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, in a statement issued by Farrelly's publicists, the director has admitted that the descriptions are in fact true.

"I was an idiot. I did this decades ago and I thought I was being funny and the truth is I'm embarrassed and it makes me cringe now. I'm deeply sorry," Farrelly stated.

Starring Mahershala Ali and Viggo Mortensen, 'Green Book'&nbsp;is about a tour of the Deep South in the 1960s by Jamaican-American classical pianist Don Shirley and New York bouncer Tony Lip who served as Shirley's driver and security. 
 
The film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2018, where it won the People's Choice Award. It is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 21, 2018. 
 
Furthermore, the festival will launch Alfonso Cuaron’s 'Roma'&nbsp;in the region. 
 
&nbsp;Also, a special nine-title sidebar will be dedicated to celebrate female Arab directors which will also be the topic of a panel for which Palestine’s Annemarie Jacir ('Wajib'); Algeria's Sofia Djama ('The Blessed'); Tunisia’s Kaouther Ben Hania ('Beauty and the Dogs'); and Egypt’s Hala Khalil ('Nawara') and Hala Lofty ('Coming Forth by Day') have been recruited.
