Beaches near the Italian capital of Rome, in the Fiumicino and Ostia area, reopened to the public on Saturday with a special beach for dogs welcoming back visitors for the first time.

After coronavirus forced movie theatres to close and with new rules of social distancing still in place, Italians are turning to new solutions to enjoy movies in public spaces. A new drive-in cinema opened in the seaside town of Ostia, near Rome, on Thursday.
