The Jharkhand police have shot down four guerrilla Maoists in the state&#39;s Palamu district on Monday.&nbsp;

The four killed include a militant Bimal Yadav who was carrying a reward of Rs 5 lakh.&nbsp;

The gun battle, which lasted for over two hours, between the police force and Maoists began at Marunga hill after the militants found the security personnel in the area.&nbsp;

The police said that they recovered the bodies of the four militants along with some weapons. However, the remaining Maoists managed to escape.&nbsp;

A search operation was launched by the Central Reserve Police Forces after the gun battle ended.
