Indian 'prince', Reese Witherspoon daughter at Paris debutants' ball

<p>Hollywood actress&nbsp;Reese Witherspoon&#39;s lookalike daughter Ava Phillippe, 18, will be making her &quot;entry into society&quot; at a debutante ball in Paris on November 25.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Ava is said to be escorted by 19-year-old British-educated Maharaja Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur to the Bal des Debutantes which is purely by invitation only.</p>

<p>Maharaja Padmanabh Singh is a member of the ruling family of Jaipur in Rajasthan and a professional polo player.</p>

<p>Ava who is an aspiring artist and photographer herself will be seen accompanied by mother Witherspoon and father, actor Ryan Philippe.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Earlier this week,&nbsp;the mother-daughter pair were seen arriving at Charles de Gaulle airport in the French capital, along with Witherspoon&#39;s husband Jim Toth, and their five-year-old son Tennessee.</p>

<p>According to debutante ball tradition, fathers are required to dance with their daughters at the start of the ceremony.</p>

Ava, 18 will be accompanied by Maharaja Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur in Paris

Hollywood actress Reese Witherspoon's lookalike daughter Ava Phillippe, 18, will be making her "entry into society" at a debutante ball in Paris on November 25. Ava is said to be escorted by 19-year-old British-educated Maharaja Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur to the Bal des Debutantes which is purely by invitation only. Maharaja Padmanabh Singh is a member of the ruling family of Jaipur in Rajasthan and a professional polo player. Ava who is an aspiring artist and photographer herself will be seen accompanied by mother Witherspoon and father, actor Ryan Philippe. Earlier this week, the mother-daughter pair were seen arriving at Charles de Gaulle airport in the French capital, along with Witherspoon's husband Jim Toth, and their five-year-old son Tennessee. According to debutante ball tradition, fathers are required to dance with their daughters at the start of the ceremony. The Crillon Debutantes Ball is a contemporary version of a British tradition which began in the eighteenth century. The new form raises money for two charities like Seleni, a centre for women's mental health, and Children of Asia, which aims to raise the enrolment of young girls from Southeast Asia into education. It was originally a ceremony for eligible young women from aristocratic families to be presented in front of the Queen when they turned 18. It was a sign that a woman was ready to be betrothed, and an introduction to families of a similar social standing. Le Bal's dress code requires the girls to wear haute couture dresses, and it is believed that both Reese and Ava will be dressed by Giambattista Valli.
