The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) on Monday announced the names of its three nominees for the ensuing Rajya Sabha polls. DMK President MK Stalin nominated M Shanmugham of DMK and advocate B Wilson for the Rajya Sabha polls in Tamil Nadu to be held on July 18.

DMK president M K Stalin alleged on Monday that the Centre's move on dropping the clause on compulsory Hindi learning in the draft National Education Policy was aimed at deceiving Tamil Nadu and demanded an explanation over it.

Raja also hit back at the former CAG. "Vinod Rai is a blatant liar. They wanted to train their guns only at me. No one came to hear my side of the story," the DMK leader said.
