A local Kashmiri cricket team has been detained after a video surfaced showing them wearing the green jerseys of the Pakistani cricket team, a report in the Hindustan Times said.&nbsp;

In the video, the Pakistan national anthem can be heard playing in the background.&nbsp;

Central Kashmir&#39;s deputy inspector general of police, Ghulam Hassan Bhat, told the Hindustan Times that the cricketers had been detained for questioning.

&ldquo;The boys are in the police station.&rdquo;

The HT report added that local residents had gathered at the police station, demanding the immediate release of the cricketers.&nbsp;

The cricket match was apparently played on April 2, the same day Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Chenani-Nashri tunnel, the country&rsquo;s longest on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway.&nbsp;

The match was apparently played in Ganderbal.&nbsp;

The Hindustan Times reported sources as saying that of the two teams that played the match, one represented India -- it wore white -- and the other Pakistan.&nbsp;

&ldquo;National anthems of both countries were played, like in any international match,&rdquo; a Ganderbal resident told the HT.&nbsp;
