On Saturday (March 23), HBO Max announced Karen's departure from the show as they shared that due to her other work commitments and scheduling conflicts, she will not be part of season 3.&nbsp;

In the statement, HBO's representative said, "It has been a joy to have Karen Pittman play the smart and stunning Professor Nya Wallace on the first two seasons of And Just Like That.''

"As we have thoroughly enjoyed working with this dynamic actress, so too have others. Due to her commitments to two other streamer series, it has become apparent that filming three shows at once isn't possible," the spokesperson said.

"Karen and Nya will be missed, and her Max family and fans will all be cheering her on in her other endeavours," they concluded the message.&nbsp;

And Just Like That is the sequel to the popular show Sex and the City. The HBO Max show marked the return of three lead actors out of four, including Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie Bradshaw), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda Hobbes) and Kristin Davis (Charlotte York). Pittman is the second cast member who will not be returning to season 3. Apart from Pittman, Sara Ramírez also announced her departure from the show. Sara played the role of comedian Che Diaz.
