The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is&nbsp;in the process of sending a team to Philippines to question ISIS suspect Karen Aisha Hamidon, who was accused of manipulating and radicalizing young Indians to join terrorist organisation using social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram.&nbsp;

Reports say that Hamidon, widow of Philippines-based terrorist leader Mohammad Jafaar Maquid, also tried to lure &#39;foreign fighters&#39; in 2016, from other countries as well.&nbsp;

According to officials, the investigation could throw some light on Indians who had joined ISIS in 2014 as well as track other such recruiters trying to get the Indian youth to become a part of the organisation.&nbsp;

Sources have informed that Mohammad Sirajuddin, an Indian ISIS member from Japiur along with Mohammad Naseer, an engineer from Tamil Nadu, who were arrested and sent to Sudan, had confirmed that Hamidon played a role in luring them to join the terrorist group.&nbsp;

Hamidon was arrested by National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) of the Philippines earlier last month in&nbsp;Manila, according to reports.

The National Investigation Agency has requested Philippines to allow them to question Hamidon, news agency ANI reported.
