This weekend, 'Joker' officially became the first R-rated movie in history to gross over $1 billion at the global box office. It is interesting to note that Joaquin Phoenix starrer is the only third movie to have ever reached that milestone without a release in China which makes for one of the world’s largest market for movies.&nbsp;

Now, the film has bagged the Golden Frog Award for its cinematography at the EnergaCamerimage Festival in Torun, Poland. It also won the Audience Award at the event.

Some other winners include the Netflix film 'The Two Popes' directed by Uruguayan DP Cesar Charlone that took home this year's Silver Frog Award.

This year's main competition lineup also included Martin Scorsese's recent release 'The Irishman', <a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/box-office-ford-v-ferrari-races-to-first-place-charlies-angels-collapses-262840">'Ford v. Ferrari'</a>, 'Motherless Brooklyn' and indie drama 'The Last Black Man in San Francisco'.

Meanwhile, ‘Joker’ is the fourth DC comic title to cross $1 billion, after ‘Aquaman’ ($ 1.15 billion), ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ ($ 1.084 billion) and ‘The Dark Knight’ ($ 1.005 billion).
