Eight people were killed and several injured in a suspected "terror" shooting on Tuesday in Jaffa in south Tel Aviv. The shooting occurred shortly before an Iranian missile attack against Israel began.

The armed wing of Hamas claimed responsibility on Wednesday for a shooting and stabbing attack that killed seven people in Tel Aviv's commercial hub the previous day. "The Ezzedine Al-Qassam Brigades claim responsibility for the heroic Jaffa operation carried out by fighters from the (occupied West Bank) city of Hebron," the group said in a statement, referring to the attack that occurred near the Tel Aviv light rail station in Jaffa on Tuesday

According to the police, a municipal security officer and armed Israeli civilians shot and “neutralised” the two terrorists. Two terrorists, one of whom was seen armed with an assault rifle, carried out the shooting in Jaffa in south Tel Aviv, according to surveillance camera images.
