US President Joe Biden has formally extended an invitation to Israel's President Isaac Herzog to visit the White House. The invite comes even as Washington's ties with the government in Israel remain icy. Israel's president will be in Washington next week. He is also expected to address a joint session on the US Congress in honour of Israel's 75th anniversary.
