<p>Irate residents pelted stones on the police force and torched a police vehicle in the area following the incident.</p>

<p>Four people, who sustained injuries and referred to hospital, are said to be in a critical condition.</p>

<p>The incident took place on Jabalpur-Mandla road.</p>

<p>The additional police force has been deployed in the area in order to contain further violence.&nbsp;</p>
