In the Megiddo Mosaic were some earliest images of fish which had reference to the story in Luke 9:16 when two fishes were multiplied by Jesus to feed a crowd of 5,000 people as per experts.&nbsp;

<h2>Museum rents the floor of the mosaic&nbsp;</h2>

The floor earlier remained hidden beneath the prison since it was founded in 2005, however, it has now been rented out to a <a href="https://www.museumofthebible.org/magazine/exhibitions/the-megiddo-mosaic-a-community-coming-together-to-the-table">museum </a>in Washington&nbsp;DC till July 2025.

The museum's CEO Carlos Campo hailed the mosaic as "the greatest discovery since the Dead Sea Scrolls" and his colleagues said that it was "the most important archaeological discovery for understanding the early Christian church."

"We truly are among the first people to ever see this, to experience what almost 2,000 years ago was put together by a man named Brutius, the incredible craftsman who laid the flooring here," said Campo, at the opening of the exhibition.&nbsp;

Meanwhile, the curator of the exhibition Alegre Savariego said, "The mosaic presents groundbreaking physical evidence of the practices and beliefs of early Christians, including the first archaeological instance of the phrase, 'God Jesus Christ'.''&nbsp;

The discovery of Megiddo Mosaic was made in the Jezreel Valley where Christians believe the final battle of the Biblical Armageddon will occur as per the Book of Revelations.&nbsp;

Archaeologists from the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) conducted the excavation for four years to recover the 581-square-foot mosaic floor.

On the mosaic was mentioned the name of the Roman officer who is believed to have commissioned the tile. The inscription read, "Gaianus, a Roman officer, having sought honour, from his own money, has made the mosaic."

As per the researchers, this proves Romans coexisted with Christians in those times.&nbsp;

A stunning discovery was made by archaeologists in Spain when they found an ancient rock slab which was roughly 400 years old, predating the Rosetta Stone and had the alphabet inscribed on it.

It is believed that the discovery made in southwest Spain was related to the ancient Paleo-Hispanic civilisation of Tartessos and this is the third piece of evidence of an alphabet inscription, reported Fox News.

<h2>Why is Tartessos considered a 'lost' civilisation?</h2>

Tartessos existed as an ancient civilisation which was spread across the southern Iberian Peninsula more than 3,000 years ago.&nbsp;

The experts consider this civilisation "lost" because its very less remnants still survive. The slate was discovered as part of the project called "Building Tartessus".

"[The study's] main objective is to characterize the Tartessian material culture through the architectural analysis of the large adobe buildings excavated in recent decades and introduce the concept of architecture as an integrated element in the territory," stated the &nbsp;Spanish National Research Council's (CSIC) website.

According to&nbsp;experts, on the stone tablet were inscriptions of "what appears&nbsp;to be a sequence of 21 signs drawn within the framework of the tablet on which figures were also found of warriors."

The stone tablet, which was found at an archaeological site in Casas del Turuñuelo of the Badajoz province, is likely to have been chiselled as early as 600 BC.&nbsp;

Speaking about the stone tablet, University of Barcelona researcher Joan Ferrer i&nbsp;Jane said that “other strokes compatible with signs of a known sequence [were also seen].”

However, the artefact, which does not have a triangular shard on one of its sides, looks incomplete.

"At least 6 signs would have been lost in the split area of the piece, but if it were completely symmetrical and the signs completely occupied three of the four sides of the plate it could reach 32 signs, so the lost signs could become eleven or perhaps more if a possible sign, ‘Tu’, isolated in the lateral quarter, were part of the alphabet," Ferrer said.
