Two orangutans, a mother and baby, were rescued by environmentalists after their habitat was destroyed by forest fires in Indonesia's Kalimantan province, and relocated to a healthy patch of forest on the same day.

President Joko Widodo said Tuesday that prevention must be absolute in handling Indonesia's forest and land fires. Widodo said in Pekanbaru during a meeting with staff that the nation has all the resources for prevention of the noxious haze, but that they are not activated properly.
