Former Sri Lanka cricketer and chairman of selectors, Sanath Jayasuriya has been charged with two counts of breaching the ICC's Anti-Corruption Code.&nbsp;

ICC has said that&nbsp;Jayasuriya has been charged with two offences under Article 2.4.6 and 2.4.7 of its code.

The official statement mentioned that ICC will not make any further comment in respect of these charges at this stage.

The former captain&nbsp;has refused to cooperate with any investigation conducted by the ICC's anti-corruption unit, the ICC said in a statement.

The 49-year-old has also been charged with trying to conceal, destroy or tamper with evidence that could be crucial to the anti-corruption investigation.

Also, gave Jayasuriya&nbsp;two-week time, which starts from October 15, to respond on the same.

Article 2.4.6 - Failure or refusal, without compelling justification, to cooperate with any investigation carried out by the ACU, including failure to provide accurately and completely any information and/or documentation requested by the ACU as part of such investigation.

Article 2.4.7 - Obstructing or delaying any investigation that may be carried out by the ACU, including concealing, tampering with or destroying any documentation or other information that may be relevant to that investigation and/or that may be evidence or may lead to the discovery of evidence of corrupt conduct under the Anti-Corruption Code.
