India is all set to roll out the red carpet for the New Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih who will be on a 3-day India visit from Sunday. Solih arrives in India at 2 pm on Sunday.

The Maldives has applied to rejoin the Commonwealth, reversing a policy of isolation under autocratic leader Abdulla Yameen who suffered a shock defeat in September.

The New US ambassador of the United States of America to the Maldives, Alaina Teplitz, took charge on Sunday. Teplitz presented her Letter of credence to Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih‎ a day after the latter took charge as the new President.
