After decades in the making, Egypt’s Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest archaeological museum in the world, is finally opening its doors to the public. Standing beside the Great Pyramids of Giza, this stunning architectural and cultural achievement marks a new chapter for Egypt, connecting 7,000 years of history with modern innovation. Inside, visitors will find over 100,000 ancient artefacts, including treasures of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, the funerary boat of Khufu, and the colossal 11-metre granite statue of King Ramses II, moved from Cairo’s Ramses Square in 2006 in a daring engineering triumph. This is more than a museum, it’s a monument to Egyptian identity, preservation, and the enduring spirit of human achievement.
