On Saturday, Google paid a beautiful tribute to veteran actor Amrish Puri who had passed away in 2005.&nbsp; 
 
On the occasion of his 87th birth anniversary, Pune-based guest artist Debangshu Moulik got together with Google and honoured Puri's memory with a doodle.&nbsp;

The gesture touched his fans who have taken to Twitter to express their gratitude and love for the Bollywood star.&nbsp;

Singer Daler Mehendi too posted a picture on Twitter saying, "Remembering one of the most precious gems of the Indian Cinema, Amrish Puri Ji on his Birth Anniversary. #AmrishPuri #GoogleDoodle"

Amrish Puri was loved by the film industry and is considered one of the best villains in the history of Bollywood. His dialogues, "Mogambo Khush Hua" and "Ja Simran Ja, Jee Le Apni Zindagi" still remain some of the most popular dialogues ever.&nbsp; 
 
Some of his very famous films include 'Dil Wale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge', 'Karan Arjun', 'Nayak', 'Mr. India', 'Ghatak' and 'Indiana Jones and Temple of Doom'.&nbsp; 
 
He did over 200 films in various languages like Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and English. The actor truly made his mark all over the world.&nbsp; 
 
Amrish Puri was born in Punjab on 22 June in 1932 and made his Bollywood debut in 1971 with the film 'Reshma Aur Shera'.&nbsp; 
 
Before this, he was working as a voice-over artist and used to perform at the Prithvi Theatre in Bombay.&nbsp; 
 
After failing his initial screen-tests, he landed his first major role at the age of 39 and went on to become one of the most memorable artists in the industry.

Amrish Puri stepped into Hollywood in 1982 as a supporting actor in the Oscar-winning film 'Gandhi'.&nbsp;He was later cast as Mola Ram in Steven Spielberg's 'Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom'. Initially hesitant, Puri agreed to take on the part after immense persistence from Spielberg himself.&nbsp; 
 
Even though he was famous for his negative roles and villainous characters, he brought a sense of relatability to his roles that made his characters come alive. 
 
Puri passed away in 2005 due to myelodysplastic syndrome but lives on in the hearts of his fans till this day.&nbsp;
