According to Human Rights Watch, the Chinese government is closing and destroying a vast number of mosques in Ningxia and Gansu provinces. It is part of its “mosque consolidation” policy. But the rights watchdog calls the crackdown a “systematic effort” to curb the practice of Islam in China. Molly Gambhir brings you the report.
