French inventor Franky Zapata failed on Thursday to cross the English Channel on a jet-powered hoverboard, attempting to recreate the first cross-Channel flight by aviator Louis Bleriot's 110 years earlier. Zapata failed to land on his refuelling boat midway when he was about 20 kilometres from the British coast, according to a member of his team.
