Polling stations have opened across the UK in the general election. Voters across the UK head to the ballot box for the third general election since 2015. Boris Johnson breaks tradition by not voting in his constituency. Earlier Johnson was photographed casting his vote at a polling station in central London rather than in his Uxbridge and South Ruislip constituency.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has left no stone unturned to impress the voters to win UK elections 2019. He visited Grimsby Fish Market as part of a visit to the region as the Tories look to take the Great Grimsby seat from Labour's Melanie Onn. Apart from holding a fish Johnson also caressed a rabbit, sheared a sheep, posed with a cow and served food and sweets.
