Indian central bank, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates (CBUAE) on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that aims to enhance cooperation and jointly enable innovation in financial products and services.

One of the agendas of India's G20 Presidency is mutual cooperation in cross-border payments and innovation in payment technology. The RBI has now signed the MoU, with UAE's exploration of cross-linking of two countries' CBDC's.
