The results for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to MBBS and BDS courses has been announced today by the CBSE.

Held on May 6, 2018, over 13 lakh candidates wrote the NEET this year.

The test allows medical seat aspirants to get a seat in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India.

CBSE on 25 May had issued the answer key for NEET 2018 while 27 May was set as the deadline for the candidates to raise any objection on the answer key, OMR sheet, and test booklet code.

- Click on the link which says, CBSE NEET Result 2018

- Enter your roll number and other relevant details

Freedom fighter Bhagat Singh&#39;s 87th death anniversary was observed here by two groups of people who demanded declaring him a &quot;national hero&quot; of Pakistan.

Singh was hanged at the age of 23 in Lahore on March 23, 1931 along with Rajguru and Sukhdev. The capital punishment had inspired thousands of people to take up the cause of the freedom movement.

The Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation (BSMF) and the Bhagat Singh Foundation Pakistan (BSFP) yesterday held separate functions at Shadman Chowk where they were hanged.

The participants paid rich tribute to the three freedom fighters. Some relatives of Singh made a telephonic address.

BSMF Chairman Imtiaz Rashid presented a resolution demanding the British Queen to tender an apology for hanging the three freedom fighters and compensate their families.

He demanded naming a road after his name and including a chapter in the school curriculum besides issuing a postal ticket and installation of Singh&#39;s statue at Shadman Chowk.

BSFP Founder President Abdullah Malik said: &quot;Bhagat Singh raised his voice against imperialism. He will be remembered as a great freedom fighter&quot;.

He demanded that the governments of India and Pakistan declare Singh and his comrades as &quot;national heroes&quot;.

The events were held under strict security in the face of threats from extremists.

Both the foundations have been demanding renaming the Shadman Chowk as &#39;Bhagat Singh Chowk&#39;. However, the Hurmat-e-Rasool, a sister organisation of Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed-led Jamaat-u-Dawah, opposes the proposal and suggests to rename it as &#39;Hurmat Chowk&#39;.&nbsp;

Guinea has reached the end of active Ebola virus transmission, the World Health Organisation said on Wednesday, the second such declaration from the country at the epicentre of the global&nbsp;outbreak of the disease.

The proclamation was made because the person with Guinea&#39;s last confirmed case tested negative for the second time more than 42 days ago.

Guinea will now enter a 90-day period of heightened surveillance to make sure of the identification of any new cases before they spread to others.

In the most recent outbreak, seven confirmed and three possible cases of the virus surfaced between March 17 and April 6. At least five people died.

Another three cases were recorded in neighbouring Liberia in a woman who had travelled from Guinea and her two children.

The flare-up seems to have occurred after a person came into contact with infected body fluid from an Ebola survivor, WHO said. Since the virus can remain active in certain body fluids for months, the WHO cautions the risk of outbreaks remain.

However, WHO spokesman Christian Lindmeier said on Tuesday that the organisation was confident that affected countries were prepared and could deal with flare-ups efficiently.
