This will not only harm the peace and stability of the two countries but also the peace and tranquillity of the region. We hope the relevant sides can do more things that are conducive for peace and stability in the region and avoiding escalating the tensions and China is willing to play constructive role in improving relations between India and Pakistan.&quot;&nbsp;

Geng was talking to reporters.&nbsp;

The incidents Geng was referring to were most probably the Hizbul militants killed today in Kashmir in an encounter with security forces, and the two Indian Army soldiers killed in cross-border firing with Pakistan near the LoC in Kupwara&#39;s Keran sector.&nbsp;

And on Monday evening, terrorists had attacked a bus carrying Amarnath Yatra pilgrims in Anantnag.&nbsp;

Seven pilgrims, six of them women, had died in the attack.&nbsp;

But the reason for Geng&#39;s words is the current India-China standoff in Doklam in Bhutan.&nbsp;

China claims Doklam and had begun building a road there.&nbsp;

The Bhutanese Army had tried to stop them but were unable to.&nbsp;

They then asked Indian troops for help, who intervened.&nbsp;

China has been threatening to use the same logic to intervene in the India-Pakistan imbroglio.&nbsp;
