On 30 Sept, Albanian opposition politicians set fire to a pile of wooden chairs outside parliament in protest against the imprisonment of a fellow member. During the start of the regular parliamentary session, opposition members removed chairs from the chamber and ignited them on the steps of the building. Security guards promptly extinguished the flames.
