A BJP leader in Haryana has been accused of causing the death of a patient because he stopped the ambulance he was travelling in for half an hour.&nbsp;

The ambulance had hit his car.&nbsp;

News reports on Monday said the ambulance hit BJP municipal council chief Darshan Nagpal&#39;s car in Hisar, Haryana.&nbsp;

The patient&#39;s -- Naveen Kumar -- relatives Arun and Sitaram have said in their complaint that the BJP leader stopped the ambulance and argued with its driver over compensation for about half an hour.

Arun said he was taking his uncle to a cardiologist.&nbsp;

By the time the ambulance finally made it to hospital, Naveen was dead.&nbsp;

News reports said doctors told his relatives that they would have been able to save him had they arrived only 15 minutes earlier.&nbsp;

Nagpal denied the allegations.&nbsp;

He said the ambulance had hit his car but that he let it pass when he realised there was a patient in it.&nbsp;

And that he only talked to the ambulance driver after he had reached the hospital.&nbsp;
