<p>US President Joe Biden might have gotten some relief after Democratic governors met him and backed him to continue in the race for the White House. Owing to his age, the debate fiasco and some gaffes over the past few months, calls had been growing for him to step down as the Democratic presidential candidate. While Biden himself has brushed aside all these concerns on several occasions, determined to fight the elections, it appears Biden himself is also concerned about how his health.</p>

<p>During his meeting with the Democratic governors on Wednesday, Biden is reported to have told them that he doesn't want to work after 8 pm as he has not been getting enough sleep. He told them that he plans to stop scheduling events after 8 pm, as per a report by the New York Times. His supposed "joke" to the governors also caused some discomfort, reports say. “I’m fine — I don’t know about my brain, though," Biden reportedly said.</p>

<p>This doesn't seem to have gone down too well with several of the Democratic governors who are pretty angry at the Biden campaign saying that all of them were enthusiastic to have Biden continue as their candidate.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A Biden campaign aide argued that Biden has been extremely busy in the past few weeks, taking two trips to Europe, preparing for the debate, finishing official work and engaging in campaign issues.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Biden campaign spokesperson, Kevin Munoz said, "President (George W.) Bush went to bed at 9, and President (Barack) Obama made dinner at 6:30. Normal presidents strike a balance, and so does Joe Biden. Hardly the same rigor as Donald Trump, who spends half of his day ranting on Truth Social about plans that would cause a recession and the other half golfing.”</p>

<p>Biden's erratic performance at the CNN debate had caused panic among the Democrats. Several of them demanded that Biden should step down, while administration officials worked to try and convince everyone that all was fine, giving all kinds of explanations for what transpired at the debate.&nbsp;</p>

<p>At the July Fourth barbecue at the White House, Biden again made it clear that he is here to stay, telling an attendee, “I’m not going anywhere."</p>

<p>On Wednesday (July 3), 24 Democratic governors reached the White House, with 10 of them meeting Biden in person. Maryland Governor Wes Moore said after the meeting, "We said that we would stand with him."</p>

<p>"The governors have his back, and we're working together just to make it very, very clear on that − a path to victory in November is the No. 1 priority, and that's the No. 1 priority for the president," said Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, chairman of the Democratic Governors Association.</p>

<p>New York Governor, Kathy Hochul, also said that they fully backed Biden for the presidential position.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"I'm hear to tell you today: President Joe Biden is in it today to win, and all of us said we pledged our support to him because the stakes could not be higher," Hochul said. "We feel very confident in his abilities."</p>

<p>The Biden campaign released a statement after the meeting, in which it said, "All participants reiterated their shared commitment to do everything possible to make sure President Biden and Vice President Harris beat Donald Trump in November."</p>
