<p>Pop star Beyonce attended the&nbsp;2nd Annual Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles with her daughter&nbsp;Blue Ivy Carter and husband Jay-Z as she was awarded a humanitarian award by her mother, Tina Knowles Lawson.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Knowles Lawson, who co-founded the WACO Theater with husband Richard Lawson, while honouring Beyonce said,&nbsp;&ldquo;Honoring Beyonc&eacute; and Mrs Carter is just an honour for us because so many people have asked to honour Beyonc&eacute; and she&rsquo;s always said no. So, she couldn&rsquo;t tell me no because I&rsquo;m her mom.&nbsp;I am just happy for people to just see what an amazing person she is, what a great human being she is. And Mrs Carter as well. She gets on buses with these kids and goes on college tours, she gets prom dresses. They&rsquo;re both just changing the world and it&rsquo;s amazing to get to honour them.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Beyonce walked the gala with her daughter in a matching pair of gold dresses as the event was hosted by the WACO Theater Center.&nbsp;Interestingly, the <em>Halo</em>&nbsp;singer strutted in a custom piece by Indian design house Falguni Shane Peacock. The dress had thorough gold embellishments ending up in a&nbsp;gold furled train as Blue Ivy looked beautiful in a gold dress with poofy skirt and matching gold wig.&nbsp;</p>

<p>At the gala, during the event&#39;s live auction, Blue was seen bidding on behalf of her parents. She bid for a&nbsp; $17,000 acyclic painting of Sidney Poitier that caught her fancy. She bid again when the item&#39;s asking price shot up to&nbsp;$19,000. However, director Tyler Perry beat out the bid and won the art piece for $20,000.&nbsp;</p>
