<p>&quot;I will start my rally from Rameswaram and will announce party flag and ideology in Madurai. All are invited,&quot; the actor was quoted as saying ahead of his trip to Madurai on Tuesday. He picked Madurai as it is the cultural and political capital of the state.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Hassan said that he will address the crowd in his hometown in Paramakudi in Ramanathapuram and in Sivaganga on the way.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Several posters were put up along the route in&nbsp;Rameswaram. The one that caught everyone&#39;s attention was that of former president APJ Abdul Kalam. The posters tried to depict Haasan as the &quot;second Dr Kalam&quot;, as he aims to fulfill the dream of his &quot;hero&quot;. The posters around the city say&nbsp;&quot;Kamal is a second Kalam.&quot;</p>

<p>&quot;Kalam is an inspirational figure for me,&quot; Haasan was quoted saying earlier as he plans to start his political journey by evoking the legacy of Dr Kalam as they both belonged to the same district - Ramanathapuram. Kalam is still considered a political icon, known as the &quot;rocket man&quot; for many, Hassan clearly is trying to associate himself with Kalam as he begins his political journey. Haasan also seeks to attract the young generation who were tied to Kalam&#39;s ideas.</p>

<p>Hassan visited late president A P J Abdul Kalam&#39;s residence in Ramanathapuram and met&nbsp;the former president&#39;s brother and sister-in-law. He also visited&nbsp;Dr Kalam&#39;s memorial after the meeting.&nbsp;</p>
