In a bizarre incident, a Milwaukee man was accused of biting off the fingertip of&nbsp;a person in 2023.

Nathan Landsee pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct and battery charges on October 21 and has been found guilty for both counts, according to reports.

According to the court documents, the incident happened at a wedding at The Club at Lac La Belle in the town of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Officers were dispatched to the venue after a complaint that “someone had their fingertip bitten off”, Fox6 reported.

At the scene of the incident, officers said Landsee “was sitting on a couch with blood on his sleeve, which did not appear to be from him. There was also blood on the floor between the foyer and the ballroom…There were several people remaining inside of the venue who appeared to have been disturbed by this incident, including some who were crying.”

A witness told the investigators that two incidents happened, the “original incident that occurred was when the defendant had inappropriately touched another guest,” the complaint says. When nearby guests got upset by this, the “defendant began to yell and became very agitated.”

The defendant was moved aside to a room away from the main ballroom. “The bride and groom at the venue were trying to calm the defendant down, which led to the second incident,” the complaint said. After a short time, “the defendant began yelling loudly and was disorderly again.”

Another witness who entered the room said that it “reached a point where they needed to ask the defendant to leave.” After this, the defendant became even more agitated and continued to be loud.

The first witness said he was told to leave within five minutes,&nbsp;otherwise, they would call the police. A scuffle broke out and when three others had to pin the defendant to the ground, “the defendant bit off the tip of someone's finger.”

A police sergeant said, “The victim's injuries were significant. It appeared that approximately a half-inch of the finger had been bitten off.”

The defendant was cooperative with the police and appeared “highly intoxicated”.

Landsee told police that “he did not know what happened, but that everyone was grabbing him and someone put their hand inside of his mouth, so he bit down.”&nbsp;

A sentencing and restitution hearing is scheduled for December 13, this year.

It's official now. The Quad will hold its first-ever summit this week on Friday. Leaders from the United States, Japan, India and Australia will hold a virtual summit. The agenda will be wide-ranging but the focus is clear-- countering the common threat-- and the warning is specific. It comes from Admiral Philip Davidson, the commander of the US Indo-Pacific command.&nbsp;

Davidson says, "China is the greatest long term strategic threat to security in the 21st century and if the US and its allies do not act, they could be left behind."&nbsp;

China's approach to the region includes an effort of coercing, corrupt and collapse governments, businesses, organisations and the people of the Indo-Pacific.&nbsp;

As China continues to increase the size of the PLA and advance their own joint capabilities, the military imbalance in the Indo-Pacific is becoming more unfavourable for the United States and its allies.&nbsp;

So what is the threat assessment of the commander?&nbsp;

China is speeding up plans to overtake the US on the world stage but the threat is not limited to the US. China could invade Taiwan within the next six years. The Chinese military is expanding its assets in the region and the US believes the level of deterrence is reducing.

"The PLA has not yet withdrawn from several forward positions it seized following the initial clash, and the consequent escalation of tensions between the PRC and India has resulted in casualties on both sides.”&nbsp;
